The album spawned just one single, "At the Bottom" which was released on August 11, 2009.
== Recording and production ==

As with previous Brand New writing and recording sessions the band members would conceive many of their song ideas on acoustic guitar, individually, before working on those ideas as a band and during sound checks. Guitarist Vincent Accardi had been working on new tracks between tours with their frequent collaborator and producer Mike Sapone, which would lead to ''Daisy'' being far more driven by his songwriting compared to previous albums by the band.〔 Despite this, Lacey affirmed that there was never any conscious decision about writing responsibilities, commenting "I've lost track of what I wrote or what Vinnie's wrote because it was such a collaborative effort with the band. Vin might write a drum part or Brian might write a guitar part or whatever. We're not really keeping tabs of how much everyone has at stake on each song".〔
Recording took place over a year and a half period, with the band slowly working on tracks in Sapone's basement in Bethpage, New York. Sapone along with Ben Homola and Andrew Accardi also performed on the recordings.
During production, Lacey sampled "On Life's Highway," a gospel hymn written by Bertrand Brown for the opening of the track "Vices" and closing of the track "Noro" whilst Sapone included a recording of a child speaking on the title track "Daisy", with Lacey commenting that the band have "always been interested in putting strange things on albums".〔
A number of tracks from the sessions were ultimately left off the final album, including a track by Brian Lane titled "Lazy".
In an interview with ''Kerrang!'', Jesse Lacey commented on the album's content: "It's a pretty exhausting record. It's quite dense and I think some of the decisions we made don't always go in the most obvious direction. We were thinking a lot more about what we'd want to play when we were up onstage rather than actually what you'd want to hear on a record."〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Brand New talks new album, future of the band )
